DIC Supports SETO Consortium in Preparing the Final Phase of Project Implementation

From 2–4 July 2025, DigInnoCent s.r.o. participated in the SETO consortium meeting hosted in Ypres and Ghent, Belgium. Bringing together partners from across Europe, the meeting provided an important opportunity to review project progress, coordinate the remaining activities, and prepare for the final year of the Horizon Europe project.

As a member of the SETO consortium, DigInnoCent contributes to the development and dissemination of innovative solutions that support smarter, more efficient enforcement of transport operations across Europe. During the meeting, our team actively participated in discussions on technical progress, stakeholder engagement, exploitation planning, and communication activities that will maximise the project’s long-term impact.

Preparing for Large-Scale Validation

With the project entering its final implementation phase, consortium partners reviewed progress across all work packages and agreed on priorities for the coming months. Key topics included:

  • completion of technology validation within the Belgian and French Living Labs;
  • assessment of the economic, environmental and societal impacts of the developed solutions;
  • development of exploitation strategies to support future uptake of SETO technologies;
  • preparation of policy recommendations for European and national transport authorities.

These discussions are essential for ensuring that the project’s innovative digital platform can effectively support transport authorities in enforcing regulations through integrated data, intelligent monitoring technologies and real-time decision support.

Learning from Operational Environments

The consortium meeting also included technical visits hosted by ZF Transics, where partners gained first-hand insight into modern fleet management solutions and the practical integration of digital technologies within commercial transport operations.

Participants additionally visited the Ghent Living Lab, where SETO technologies are currently being validated in a multimodal transport environment combining road freight and inland waterways. Observing real-world testing provides valuable feedback that supports further refinement of the project’s solutions before wider deployment.

DigInnoCent’s Commitment

DigInnoCent remains committed to supporting the successful delivery of the SETO project through effective collaboration with project partners, dissemination of project results, stakeholder engagement, and communication activities. As the project moves towards completion, we look forward to contributing to the validation and future adoption of digital solutions that will improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of transport enforcement across Europe.
