DIC Participates in the SETO Plenary Meeting in Bordeaux to Advance Smart Transport Enforcement

DigInnoCent s.r.o. joined partners of the Horizon Europe SETO project for the fourth consortium plenary meeting held in Bordeaux, France, from 12–14 June 2024. The meeting marked an important stage in the project’s development, bringing together technical experts, researchers and industry partners to coordinate the next phase of work towards smarter enforcement of transport regulations across Europe.

As an active consortium partner, DigInnoCent contributed to discussions on project coordination, dissemination activities and the continued development of innovative digital solutions that will support transport authorities through more efficient, data-driven enforcement processes.

Advancing the SETO Digital Platform

The Bordeaux meeting took place as the consortium was approaching a significant technical milestone: the preparation of the SETO digital platform for validation in real-world operational environments.

Partners reviewed progress in the development of the platform, which is designed to integrate information from multiple transport data sources into a single digital environment. By simplifying access to reliable information, the platform aims to improve compliance monitoring while reducing administrative burden for both enforcement authorities and transport operators.

The meeting also focused on preparing upcoming Living Lab activities in Belgium and France, where the project’s technologies will be tested under real operating conditions.

Technical Visits Supporting Innovation

To complement the technical discussions, consortium members visited several important transport infrastructure sites around Bordeaux.

The programme included a visit to the Chaban-Delmas lift bridge, demonstrating innovative infrastructure management, followed by visits to a Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) installation and the Atlandes motorway control centre on the A63. These visits provided valuable insights into current transport monitoring practices and highlighted opportunities where SETO’s digital technologies can further enhance efficiency and enforcement capabilities.

Building European Collaboration

Meetings such as the Bordeaux plenary are essential for maintaining close collaboration across the multidisciplinary SETO consortium. By bringing together expertise from academia, industry, technology providers and transport authorities, the project continues to develop practical solutions capable of supporting safer, more sustainable and more efficient transport operations throughout Europe.

DigInnoCent is proud to contribute to this collaborative effort and remains committed to supporting the project’s communication, stakeholder engagement and dissemination activities as SETO progresses towards large-scale demonstration and future market uptake.
