DigInnoCent Showcases NATURE-DEMO Research at the University of Huddersfield

DigInnoCent s.r.o., coordinator of the Horizon Europe NATURE-DEMO project, participated in a scientific seminar hosted by the University of Huddersfield, where the project’s innovative approach to nature-based solutions and climate resilience was presented to researchers, academics and students.

The event formed part of the consortium’s ongoing commitment to knowledge sharing and strengthening collaboration between European research institutions.

Sharing Research and Practical Experience

The presentation introduced the objectives and progress of NATURE-DEMO, highlighting how the project integrates scientific research, digital technologies and stakeholder engagement to support climate adaptation across multiple European regions.

Participants learned about the project’s work in:

  • multi-hazard climate risk assessment;

  • development of the Digital Support Platform;

  • planning and evaluation of nature-based solutions;

  • collaboration with regional authorities and local stakeholders;

  • demonstration activities across Europe.

The seminar also provided an opportunity to discuss the practical challenges associated with implementing nature-based solutions and the importance of combining scientific evidence with local knowledge.

Building Academic Partnerships

Engagement with universities plays an important role in extending the impact of Horizon Europe projects beyond the consortium itself.

By presenting NATURE-DEMO at the University of Huddersfield, DigInnoCent strengthened connections with the academic community, encouraged interdisciplinary dialogue and promoted future collaboration in climate adaptation research.

Supporting Knowledge Transfer

As project coordinator, DigInnoCent continues to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge between research organisations, policymakers and practitioners.

Through seminars and academic outreach, the project contributes to developing the next generation of researchers and professionals working to address climate challenges using innovative, evidence-based nature-based solutions.
