DIC presented SETO at the Eurostruct 2023

DigInnoCent s.ro. (DIC), a leader in research and innovation in digitalisation and sustainability, is glad to announce its active participation and contribution to the 2nd Conference of the European Association on Quality Control of Bridges and Structures – EUROSTRUCT2023. This esteemed event took place from September 25 to 29, 2023, at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, Austria.

EUROSTRUCT2023 focuses on research and development in sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions while nurturing the next generation of problem solvers with a strong commitment to sustainability. The conference's objectives revolve around addressing various facets of quality control plans for bridge and tunnel safety and management, incorporating the latest insights into performance assessment procedures and specific goals. With over 270 papers presented at the conference, EUROSTRUCT2023 serves as a crucial platform for academics, practitioners, bridge owners, and operators to explore recent advancements and chart future research directions.

During this event, DIC was excited to showcase the “Smart Enforcement of Transport Operations (SETO)” project funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Programme, Grant Agreement no. 101103695. SETO is a collaborative effort led by a Consortium comprising 14 partners from seven European countries. This diverse Consortium brings together a wealth of expertise spanning the entire transportation value chain, ensuring the widespread dissemination and exploitation of the innovative products and technologies developed within the SETO project.

"The SETO project embodies our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in digitalisation. We are delighted to be a part of EUROSTRUCT2023, which brings together industry leaders and experts to address critical challenges in bridge and tunnel safety and management," said Mohamed Eldessouki (DIC Director). "Our participation and the presentation of our SETO project underscore our dedication to advancing sustainable solutions and setting new standards in quality control for bridges and structures."

In addition to its ground-breaking contributions, the SETO project envisions revolutionising the enforcement system for transport Directives and Regulations. SETO's overarching goal is to foster a competitive and equitable transport market, optimising resource utilisation, reducing costs, enhancing sustainability, and improving the overall well-being of transport workers. DIC invites attendees to visit our exhibited poster and engage in discussions about the SETO project and our latest advancements in the field. We look forward to connecting with fellow professionals and contributing to the ongoing dialogue about the future of transport operations and their impact on infrastructure quality control.
