As we kickstart 2024, the NATURE-DEMO consortium, comprising top experts from diverse sectors, recently convened for a pivotal meeting. Partners came together to strategically plan the timeline for project contracting with the European Commission and outline the necessary steps to finalize the Grant Agreement. With shared enthusiasm and commitment, the consortium is poised for a year of impactful collaboration and progress in reshaping climate resilience across Europe.

In a rainy and windy November day, our DIC team visited the University of Leeds, UK to discuss potential collaborations on multiple research projects. DIC visited Telespazio UK to introduce CloudMATE project, exploring the potential of satellite imaging and InSAR in structural health monitoring. The collaboration promises groundbreaking advancements in infrastructure resilience and safety.

Our DIC team had the privilege of participating in the "Engage with... LIVE! 2023 - Driving Forward UK Electrification Technologies" event in Birmingham, UK, organized by Innovate UK KTN. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with key players in the transportation electrification sector.

We had the honor of meeting with Professor Mahdi Bodaghi at Nottingham Trent University, a globally renowned leader in 4D printing technologies. During our productive discussion, we explored innovative ideas related to the integration of embedded sensors, a field in which Professor Bodaghi is a pioneer. These discussions are instrumental in advancing our SETO Project platform.

Congratulations on our project, CloudMATE, being selected for support by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) in the third public competition of the Program for the Support of Applied Research, Innovation and Commercialization SIGMA - Sub-goal 1 (SIGMA - DC1). Being among the 10 projects selected out of 24 proposals is a significant achievement, and it reflects the potential and innovation in our project. This support from TAČR will provide valuable resources and funding to further develop and commercialize CloudMATE. It's a testament to our teams hard work and dedication. Now, we look forward to advancing the CloudMATE project and making a meaningful impact in the field of applied research and innovation.
