Sustainable and Highly Durable Nanowire-Based Flexible Transparent Conductive Surfaces for Advanced Electronics (DURATRANS)

DigInnoCent s.r.o. is delighted to announce that its groundbreaking DURATRANS project has been selected for funding in the highly competitive M-ERA.NET Program. Out of 382 proposals submitted, DURATRANS is among the 43 successful proposals chosen for funding, a testament to its innovative approach and potential impact.

The M-ERA.NET Call 2023 received an overwhelming response, with 382 pre-proposals submitted. After a rigorous evaluation process, 110 pre-proposals were recommended for full-proposal submission, and 101 full proposals passed the evaluation stage. Thanks to substantial budget increases by many participating funding organizations, 43 full proposals, including DURATRANS, were ultimately selected for funding, with overall 205 participants.

"We are honored and thrilled to have DURATRANS selected for funding in this highly competitive call," said Mohamed Eldessouki, Director of DigInnoCent s.r.o. "This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the significance and potential of our project in developing sustainable and durable transparent conductive surfaces for advanced electronics."

The DURATRANS project is a collaborative effort involving a consortium of esteemed partners, including the University of Turku (Finland), Tampere University (Finland), and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (Croatia). This interdisciplinary team brings together expertise in materials science, nanotechnology, microfabrication, computational modeling, and life cycle assessment, fostering a synergistic environment for innovation and knowledge exchange.

DURATRANS aims to create bioinspired transparent conductive surfaces (BTCS) that are highly durable, flexible, and sustainable, addressing the limitations of current materials and enabling a wide range of applications in wearable sensors, medical devices, robotics, energy harvesting, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

DigInnoCent s.r.o. extends its gratitude to the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) for funding its contribution to DURATRANS project. This support from TAČR underscores the agency's commitment to promoting cutting-edge research and fostering technological advancements that address global challenges.

With its ambitious goals, innovative approach, and potential for transformative impact, DURATRANS exemplifies DigInnoCent's commitment to driving innovation and addressing critical challenges in advanced electronics.
