DigInnoCent Presents NATURE-DEMO at IEEE ICDCS 2025

As coordinator of the Horizon Europe NATURE-DEMO project, DigInnoCent s.r.o. presented the project’s vision and ongoing research at the IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (ICDCS 2025), one of the world’s leading conferences in distributed computing and digital systems.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to showcase how advanced digital technologies are being integrated into climate adaptation and disaster risk management through the NATURE-DEMO project.

Bridging Digital Innovation and Climate Resilience

NATURE-DEMO combines environmental science, engineering and digital technologies to support the planning and implementation of nature-based solutions across Europe. During the conference, DigInnoCent introduced the project’s integrated approach to developing a Digital Support Platform that assists decision-makers in evaluating climate risks, selecting appropriate interventions and monitoring their long-term performance.

The presentation highlighted how distributed data sources, geospatial information and digital decision-support tools can improve the planning and management of climate adaptation measures while supporting evidence-based policymaking.

Connecting with the International Research Community

Participation in IEEE ICDCS 2025 enabled DigInnoCent to engage with researchers and technology experts working on data-driven solutions, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and distributed information systems.

These discussions provided valuable insights into emerging technologies that can further strengthen the digital components of the NATURE-DEMO platform while creating opportunities for future scientific collaboration.

Advancing Innovation through European Research

As project coordinator, DigInnoCent is committed to ensuring that the scientific advances generated within NATURE-DEMO are shared with the wider research community. Presenting the project at internationally recognised conferences helps increase the visibility of the consortium’s work while encouraging the exchange of ideas across disciplines.

By combining cutting-edge digital technologies with nature-based approaches, NATURE-DEMO is contributing to more effective and resilient climate adaptation strategies for European regions.
