Previous Projects
Before the inception of DIC, the founding members intensively worked on research, development, and innovation (R+D+I) projects. They had +20 years of academic and industrial experience and led multiple European and International projects, such as:
- "Intelligent system for detecting defects in textiles (i-Detective)", a project funded by The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR).
- "Development of a smart shape-memory sensor for biological pressure monitoring applications (SmartShape)", a project funded by Horizon Europe.
- "Smart Textile foR hEAlth Monitoring (STREAM)", a project funded by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) under the Horizon2020 Program of MSCA-IF.
- "inherently Flexible Aerogels for energy effiCient structurES (i-FACES)", a project funded by the European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Grants.
- "Ceramics with sensing capabilities for high temperature applications (CENTAUR)", a project funded by the M-ERA.NET European Program.
- "micro-struCtural imaging as a Tool for modelinG fibrOUs materiALS (μ-CT GOALS)", a project funded by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT).
- "Alliance for Advanced Manufacturing in Central Europe (AMiCE)", a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Interreg Central Europe.
- "An Automated System for Fabric Faults Inspection to Enhance Textile Handicrafts", a project funded by the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research.
Besides the above projects coordinated by DigInnoCent members (before the company’s inception), we also participated in many R+D+I projects such as:
- "Stress mapping around SWNT and MWNT in polymer-matrix nano-composites", a project funded by U.S. Department of Commerce.
- "Efficient biological-chemical protective materials", a project funded by U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. National Textile Center (NTC).
- "Studying the interaction relations between fibers and yarns", a project funded by the Egyptian Scientific Research Academy.
- "Evaluation of Structures Movements using Structural Health Monitoring and AI-based Machine Learning", Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia.
